Let the Pros Do It
Most do-it-yourselfers know how to strip a wire and make basic repairs to their tools or how appliances. While this is an important skill to have, it may give some people false confidence in their abilities to tackle larger rewiring projects. Although rerouting the wiring in your house may appear simple, it really is a job for an electrical contractor.
Certified contractors have been trained to quickly and safely get the job done. When hiring a contractor, be sure that they are licensed, bonded and insured. Remember, rewiring your house may seem like fixing the cord to your power drill, but it is better left to a professional.
A Backup for Blackouts
For many Californians, the memories of large-scale rolling blackouts of 2001 and 2002 remain fresh. And these memories are especially unpleasant for employers who lost entire days of business. Those blackouts were a result of inadequate power in the state electricity grid; they were completely beyond the control of most companies and citizens.
Blackouts and other electricity failures can occur at any time, which makes it especially important for business owners to have an industrial generator at hand. These generators allow business to continue as usual; they facilitate transactions and eliminate the possibility of lost revenue. Every work day counts, especially in the case of small businesses.
Enjoying a Worry Free Power Outage

When I was a kid, I was always so excited when the power went out. There was something fun about listening to the wind howl and the wind drive while everyone in the family huddled around the fireplace in their sleeping bags. We read by flashlight, and we played board games. It felt a lot like camping in the living room, and I always met the resurge of lights and electricity with a little bit of sadness.
But now that I’m grown and have children of my own, I realize that having the power out for any extended period of time can quickly turn from fun to scary. Especially if we’re caught in a violent storm, there is the potential for somebody to be injured, and not having electricity can make administering medical care difficult. And if the weather is particularly cold, not having heat can make it a very unpleasant experience. That’s why I looked into residential generator installation. This way, I’m prepared for the worst, but I can choose to have the generator on or off. So my children can have all the fun of a power outage without any of the risk.
